Mount Byron Retreat was inspired by the desire to help people pause from the pressures of life and improve their holistic wellbeing by reconnecting with nature, themselves and their relationships. Mount Byron Retreat offers a space to design and host customised experiences from your dream wedding to corporate and personal retreats.
Mount Byron is located 90 minutes from Brisbane CBD, in the Somerset region. The high peak of Mount Byron was named by James Cook after Vice Admiral John Byron – the same Byron in whose honor Byron Bay was named.
Deer were first introduced into Queensland in 1873 as a gift from Queen Victoria when two stags and four hinds from from Windsor Great Park were released at Scrub Creek, Cressbrook Station. Today, the descendants of the original release are well entrenched in the ranges and can be seen early morning and at dusk at Mount Byron. Retreat Guests may encounter native fauna and flora including Koalas, Wallabies, Kangaroos, Goannas and birdlife which are protected under the property’s nature reserve.
Our well-being retreats are carefully curated to provide a holistic approach to health and wellness. From yoga and meditation to nature walks and therapeutic workshops, each program is tailored to rejuvenate the spirit, foster inner peace, and inspire personal growth.
